WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES, October 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Special Needs Plan Alliance is pleased to welcome three new members to the Alliance – Texas Independence Health Plan, a provider-led I-SNP, Clever Care Health Plan, a regional C-SNP, and Humana, a national insurer with many Special Needs Plan (SNP) offerings. These three differing types of members represent the Alliance’s continued commitment to representing all SNP types, organizational sizes and structure. The Alliance’s growth will aid with providing meaningful input to states and federal partners as the SNP portion of total Medicare Advantage (MA) continues to grow – recent data shows SNPs now make up 37% of MA. Michael Cheek, President & CEO, stated, “We are thrilled to welcome these new members. With their participation, the Alliance now represents 95% of the Special Needs Plan space and we have a fourth regional plan poised to join. As the only organization exclusively representing SNPs, our continued growth greatly will aid in advancing the Alliance’s mission to serve as the national force for improving the health and well-being of individuals living with significant, complex needs through specialized managed care.”
